A Modest Agony is a 13-minute psychodrama that examines divergent approaches to childhood trauma, through the lens of two irreconcilable brothers. A visceral coming-of-age film with horror undertones that speaks to the trauma which plagues our protagonist. A Modest Agony is a tale of self discovery, introspection and personal growth.

Roger is a lost soul mourning the loss of his father and well on his way to becoming an alcoholic when a disembodied voice confronts him at his local pub. Last Drop is a quirky take on an intervention that aims to dig beneath the surface and understand why people become dependant on alcohol, subverting the “drunken man alone in a pub” stereotype. This 2020 film has comedic tones which slowly reveals its more dramatic side as it plays out with a surprising magical realist twist.
Last Drop was screened at BAFTA Qualifying film festival, Aesthetica and is now streaming on Vidiverse, Directors Notes and Omeleto.
